Caution SIMM boards can be damaged by small amounts of static electricity. When handling the SIMM, wear an antistatic wrist strap or frequently touch the surface of the antistatic package, then bare metal on the printer.
7 Hold the SIMM so the notch on one end is on the bottom and the metal contacts face toward the slot.
8 Hold the SIMM at a 30 degree angle to the first available slot from the right. Push the edge of the board evenly and firmly into the slot (D) Rotate the SIMM to the right (E) until the board snaps into the locking tabs.
Repeat steps 6, 7, and 8 for each SIMM being installed. 9 Replace the side panel by lining up the alignment arrows (F) and sliding the panel backwards (G) until the release button latches into place (H). Close the top cover.
10 Reinstall the interface cable(s) and power cord. Turn the printer on.
